4) We setup an appointment to come to your place and professionally photograph the item

5) We prepare a detailed written description of the item(s) (including any product research necessary)

6) We post it on eBay with an attractive design and photos

7) We answer buyers' questions

8) We pay eBay listing fees, we pay Pay Pal fees, and we collect the payment.

9) We come and pick up the item, pack it and ship it

10) You receive your money.

Frequently-Asked Questions

Do I get charged eBay and PayPal fees?

NO. Your Neighborhood Office pays those fees unless the item sells for less than $200, which is the lowest tentative price that we accept per item.

Can I set the selling price of the item?

The starting bid and the tentative price are set by Your Neighborhood Office employees after researching what items similar to yours sold on the eBay market in the previous month.

Another option is to set a "reserve price" on your item, which we do not recommend. If an item does not sell when you set a reserve price, there is a fee of $30 or 6% if reserve price set is over $500.

What if I have a huge item that is very expensive to ship?

In those cases we can list the item as pickup. We will not include any of your personal information on the listing; only the actual buyer will receive your address, which will be used to pickup the item. We will arrange the time of pick-up but we will not be present during the pick-up. You should understand that an item listed as pickup only considerably decreases the number of potential buyers.
